JACK O'LANTERN PUMPKIN SEEDS

Grow your own spooky pumpkins with Jamieson Brothers Pumpkin Jack O'Lantern seeds. Perfect for Halloween!

Jack O'Lantern is the classic Halloween pumpkin variety, perfect for carving with their vibrant orange skin and smooth texture. They are also delicious to eat, offering sweet yellow flesh ideal for making sweet and savoury treats like pumpkin pie, cake , soup and many more delicious recipes

CHARACTERISTICS:

Size: 20-30cm

Weight: 5-7kg

Exposure: Full sun, plentiful rain, shelter from the wind

Sow Indoors: May-June, move outdoors May-June

Harvest: September-October before first frost

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

Sow indoors from mid April-May. Position in direct sunlight on a warm windowsill or keep at 18-21 C. Cover with a clear plastic lid or bag to retain moisture.

Sow outdoors from mid May-June, using 2-3 seeds per location, then remove the weakest seedlings. 

Plant outdoors after the last frost, 1.5m apart, in direct sunlight with plenty of rain or watering. Protect from frost and keep out of cold winds.

Water thoroughly and often, but prevent pooling at the surface to avoid rot and disease.

Feed every 10-14 days after fruits have formed, using a vegetable / tomato feed high in Potassium.

Cure Pumpkins in the sun for 7-10 days, then store for 3-6 months in a cool, dry, well ventilated environment without the Pumpkins touching eachother.
