Bred by T P Mcintosh of Edinburgh this heritage variety was first listed in 1944.
Its parentage is Herald x S rybinii and is a variety that we are always asked for here at JBA.
Dr McIntosh tubers are long in shape with a smooth pale yellow skin. The flesh is creamy in colour and can be considered as a good general use potato.
