International Kidney are more commonly known as Jersey Royals but there is infact a variation of International kidney which has been bred on the Island for many years and can only be called this when they are grown in the magical soil of Jersey which gives them their special taste which they are renowned.

Classed as an early maincrop it can also be classed as an early due to the fact it is grown so early on some areas.

Introduced in 1879 it is now considered to be a heritage variety that has stood the test of time and taste.

Tubers are of a kidney shape with shallow eyes and white flesh and skin.

The haulms of the plant are very strong growing.
